This little textbook is primarily intended for nurses and other attendants. It specifically treats in considerable detail all the matters that enter into proper and adequate care of the well and the sick child. There are excellent common sense introductory comments about the general problem of child care and the elementary understanding of infant psychology.
The chapter on feeding and the commonly used artificial food mixtures is not too involved. The detailed directions for the preparation of the various mixtures are clear and easily understood.
Every conceivable therapeutic procedure is clearly discussed and so completely presented that it could be practically and effectively carried out by any person of even average intelligence.
