Abstract

This is the third edition of this book, which was first published in 1925. It has been entirely rewritten and brought up to date as to recent researches in nutrition. A new chapter has been added on proteins, and these have been given more prominence then heretofore. Some excellent material has been added on suggested menus, with a thought of how best to spend the money alloted for food in the family budget. The book should be of value to lay readers, as it will enable them to discriminate between fact and fallacy in advice about foods.
