Abstract

GENERAL  Congress of French Pediatric Association.—The Eighth Congress of the French Pediatric Association will be held in Paris on July 9 to 11, 1934.

UNIVERSITY NEWS  Dr. G. Vidal Jordana has been named professor of pediatrics to the Faculty of the University of Barcelona.

DEATHS  Dr. Alfredo Larguia of Buenos Aires, a well known Argentine pediatrician, died recently.Dr. Tadashi Suzuki, professor of pediatrics at the Imperial University of Kyoto, died recently at the early age of 51. Dr. Suzuki was not only head of the department in his university, but he was likewise editor in chief of the Oriental Journal of Diseases of Children. He was an outstanding pediatrician and one of the best known of the Japanese scientists in this line. His death at such an early age is to be greatly regretted.
