This book, the third in its field to be published in this country within the past year, fills a long-felt want, although incompletely. Interest in neuropathology has been very active in recent years in America as well as elsewhere, and has resulted in a great deal of creditable work, but there has heretofore been almost no systematic treatment of the subject as a whole in the English literature. Moreover, the microscopic pathology of the nervous system receives scant attention in textbooks of neurology and general pathology alike.
Written as a special text on pathology, the scope of the work is enormous, and necessitates very brief treatment of much of the material in spite of the deliberate omission of any separate consideration of the general aspects of the subject or of clinical correlations. Certain phases, some of which would be of interest to pediatricians, receive inadequate mention or none at all,
