This text, enlarged and revised in the third edition, contains much to recommend it to the pediatrician and the general practitioner.
The section on infant feeding and on feeding older children—in fact, the work on dietetics in general—is excellent. There is a much needed chapter on behavior problems. On the whole, the text is adequate for the needs of the general practitioner or the pediatrician from a therapeutic standpoint.
