This book deals with all phases of child guidance, and although it is perhaps a bit lengthy and detailed to be consulted for the ordinary problems of pediatric practice, it should be of great value for reference in particular cases. Those especially interested in mental hygiene, its practical application and the present concept that it must be an integral part of any adequate educational program will find the book most useful indeed. It should be read by educators in the nursery school, the secondary school and even the university and graduate school. As stated by the editor in his preface, "It is thus the aim of this volume to set forth in the broadest sense the theory and practice of child guidance for the normal as well as for the subnormal child."
