We have reviewed Dr Storms' comments, regarding our support of the new American Heart Association recommendations about endocarditis prophylaxis prior to circumcision.1 It seems to us, that Dr Storm missed the main point of our letter. We never tried to make any statement about the ongoing debate about the medical justification of routine neonatal circumcision. This issue is beyond the scope of our short letter. Hence, Dr Storms' criticism is irrelevant to the issue raised in our comments, and we see no need to repeat the arguments brought by us in supporting the new American Heart Association recommendations.2
