We appreciate Dr Woldman's interest in our article and his agreement with our findings. Although in this article we did not address injuries nor helmet use among bicycle operators, we agree that helmets should be worn by all bicycle riders. His letter reinforces one of our conclusions: that bicycle helmets should be worn by children riding in bicycle-towed child trailers as well as in bicycle-mounted child seats.
