The world does not lack for books on child rearing. How does an author produce a product that stands out? Try another medium. Seth Scholer, MD, MPH, a Nashville, Tenn, pediatrician, has prepared a CD-ROM titled Play Nicely that addresses aggression in young children. Opening with a still picture of a young boy with his arm wound too tightly around the neck of another child, the menu offers a choice of watching the program as a parent and caregiver, health care provider or counselor, or a child care worker or teacher. All choices lead to a similar script, narrated by a deep male voice, that suggests ways to work with an aggressive child.
