This small monograph discusses in general terms the departments concerned and the function of each in discovery and rehabilitation of the deafened under nearly ideal conditions. The author outlines the part played by the physician, particularly the otologist, the acoustic physicist, the neuropsychiatrist, the members of the speech department and the social service workers in a properly organized center.
