The third edition of this book has brought it quite up to date. The first three chapters are devoted to a description of the antigen, the antibody, and the diseases caused by the factor. The next chapter is a consideration of the treatment and is very complete. The remaining seven chapters deal with the incomplete antibody, nomenclature, the problems in hemolytic disease, the laboratory techniques, and the routine study of specimens.

While the book is intended as a brief and elementary survey of the subject, this edition has broadened the subject so that all that is necessary is enclosed in this compact little volume. It is very well written and greatly lessens the gap between the clinician and the laboratory worker.
