To the Editor:—I would like to inquire about the possibility of your publicizing our booklet "I Went to the Hospital" and the film "A New World for Peter" which have been prepared by our organization.
The booklet is for the purpose of acquainting the pre-school child with the hospital experience by presenting the story in simple but attractive picture form. There are a number of booklets on this subject for older children, but none for the very young, so that "I Went to the Hospital" fills a definite need. The film shows children of all ages and their parents what a child's hospitalization is like. From comments we have received from parents, doctors, and teachers who have used them, we find that the two aids are of great value in lessening the mystery and fear of the hospital which families would otherwise experience without such previous preparation.
