This small paper-backed book is a concise epitome of facts on practical infant feeding. As stated in the preface and implied in the content, it was written for use by medical students and, it is hoped, also for the family doctor. There are five sections dealing with what the authors interpret as the essential facts of the subject, and these are listed as Breast Feeding; Artificial Feeding; The Feeding of Premature Infants; Diarrhoea and Vomiting, and two sections of an appendix containing schedules of height, weight, ossification centers, dentition, motor functions, sensory developments, and tables of weights and measures. There is also a useful index for rapid reference, but no bibliography.
The authors have succeeded well in their efforts to make simple that which has been made to seem complex. In dealing with a field of information as extensive as that of infant feeding, it is difficult for any author
