To the Editor: I have just received a memo from our Control Department which indicates that certain errors were made in the February, 1962, issue of your magazine. We are referring to "Correspondence—Pediatric Iron Preparations," page 192 of said issue. The errors concern 2 Stuart products—the Stuart Formula Liquid and Stuart Hematinic Liquid. With regard to the Stuart Formula Liquid, the letter indicates that the chemical form or source of iron is not stated. Our label, copy attached, you will notice indicates that the iron is "from ferrous sulfate." Incidentally, this product is not promoted as a hematinic; it is considered to be a nutritional supplement only.

With regard to the Stuart Hematinic Liquid, the amount of ferrous gluconate per cubic centimeter is 38.8 mg. and not 36 mg. This quantity of ferrous gluconate is equivalent to 4.5 mg. of elemental iron per cubic centimeter and not 3.6 mg. The
