To the Editor.—We took Dr. Nathan S. Weiss's suggestion to heart and reexamined our data. Among the 15 children who had two episodes of acute otitis media during the study period, a history of allergic rhinitis or hay fever was obtained in three, of asthma in one, and of asthmatic bronchitis in one. In none of the 5 patients who had 3 episodes of otitis media were we able to record a history of "allergic" diseases.
