Here is an excellent monograph on rhinoviruses by one of the outstanding workers in this field. Dr. Hamre's keen interest in rhinoviruses is reflected in the engaging and facile style of her presentation. This comprehensive monograph reviews the published knowledge about rhinoviruses and in addition includes some unpublished data as well.
It is divided into ten sections. The first six will be of special interest to the virologist. In these sections Dr. Hamre describes the history of rhinoviruses, their morphology, their biochemical and biophysical properties, methods for their propagation, and their antigenic characterization.
