Abstract

Two infants cases of acute purulent mediastinitis. Symptomatology and pathogenesis, in addition to the description of a peculiar type of respiration, may have early diagnostic significance. Acute mediastinitis should be included in the differential diagnosis of disease which constitutes respiratory emergencies.
