The Health of American Indian Children

A summary of the present health status of major health problems in American Indian infants, children, and youth is presented. It is evident that, although considerable progress is being made, they represent a high-risk group of children from disadvantaged families. High priority in the delivery of health and related services is needed for American Indian children and their families.
