Abstract

To the Editor.—I can only agree with Dr. Thorpe's call for putting knowledge of child development into everyday use through collaboration between practitioners, legislators, educators, and pediatric academicians. My belief is that to do this effectively we must have a solid academic base on which to organize research efforts and disseminate information.
