Abstract

The cure rate in children treated for β-hemolytic streptococcal pharyngitis with erythromycin estolate (Ilosone) administered twice daily (85%) was not significantly different from that in children treated with the same drug (92%), penicillin phenoxymethyl (88%), or clindamycin palmitate (92%) administered three times daily.
