Abstract

—In the abstract entitled "The Effect of Anxiety on the Reliability of Mothers' Clinical Judgment About Their Children's Acute Illnesses and the Impact of a Teaching Intervention," published in the April issue of AJDC (1988;142:403-404), a sentence contained an additional word. On page 404, the sentence beginning on the 20th line should have read: "The higher the κ value, the greater the chance corrected agreement (reliability)." On the fifth and sixth lines of the following paragraph, an incorrect symbol was given. The lines should have read: "... control mothers who were less anxious about their children (κ= +0.36)."
