2010 Certifying Examinations of the American Board of Pediatrics

All applicants for certifying examinations must complete applications online during the registration periods. The final month of each registration requires payment of a late fee. The requirements for online applications may be found on the American Board of Pediatrics Web site (www.abp.org). Additional information, including eligibility requirements and registration dates, may also be found on the American Board of Pediatrics Web site.

The American Board of Pediatrics in collaboration with the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine offers a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Medical Toxicology.

The American Board of Pediatrics in collaboration with the American Board of Internal Medicine offers a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology.

The American Board of Pediatrics in collaboration with the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Emergency Medicine, the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Radiology, and the American Board of Surgery offers a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

All applicants for the Medical Toxicology, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Pediatric Transplant Hepatology Certifying Examinations must apply through the board in which they hold their primary certification.

Registration for first-time applicants: December 1, 2009, through May 6, 2010

Registration for re-registrants: February 16, 2010, through May 27, 2010

Pediatric Critical Care Medicine: November 8, 2010

Transplant Hepatology: November 17, 2010

Registration for first-time applicants: February 2, 2010, through April 29, 2010

Registration for re-registrants: March 16, 2010, through June 15, 2010
