To the Editor The authors of the recent article, “Women’s Mental Health and Well-being 5 Years After Receiving or Being Denied an Abortion: A Prospective, Longitudinal Cohort Study”1 attempted to address a relevant subject in the question of resultant adverse psychological outcomes after an abortion is sought. Although the authors duly acknowledge potential study shortcomings in the participation rate of less than 40% and the loss of 42% of the study sample by the end of the 5-year data-gathering period,1 there exists a significant concern of bias in the constitution of the control group.
