This is the second edition of this publication. It consists of 10 sections, 70 chapters, 800 pages, and contributions from 100 authors. There have been significant advancements since the first edition in the field of minimally invasive surgery (MIS). New advanced MIS techniques accompanied by pertinent historical information and type 1 and type 2 data are noteworthy. The initial edition, which concentrated mainly on hepatobiliary techniques, has been considerably improved and includes recent developments in lower GI, foregut, and solid organ surgery.
