It is divided into 4 parts: (1) "The Esophagus," edited by Anthony Watson, MD (Royal Free Hospital and University College, London, England); (2) "Stomach and Duodenum," edited by Thomas V. Taylor, MD (Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Tex); (3) "The Small Intestine," edited by Robin C. N. Williamson, MD (Hammersmith Hospital, London); and (4) "The Pediatric Section," edited by the 3 primary authors with able assistance from C. M. Dong, MD, of Manchester, England.
