The fourth edition of Cancer represents still another improvement in the presentation of this fine reference on all aspects of malignant disease. There is certainly no better reference for the student, house officer, or practitioner of clinical medicine and surgery than this text; when basic and practical information concerning malignant disease is sought. The bibliography has been brought up to date and is more extensive than in previous editions so that more detailed and specific information can be easily found after consultation has been sought in this text. The sections on Cancer Research, Chemotherapy, and Radiotherapy as well as on Pathology of malignant disease have also been extensively revised as have sections in each chapter on prognosis and therapy of each specific tumor. More space has been provided for Hodgkin's disease and lymphomas than in earlier editions and it appears that the section on the lung is also more extensive.
