In this technique of lymphangiography the patient is made more comfortable than in other methods by flexing his knees and otherwise improving his position. The vessel is maximally distended by milking and cannulation is performed with the aid of a hemostat to insert the cannula. A bulldog clamp is then used to hold the cannula in place.
