Abstract

• Drainage of a choledochal cyst with a cystogastrostomy allowed food to reflux into the liver, where it obstructed a major right hepatic duct and produced recurrent cholangitis. Partial hepatectomy was necessary for relief. Drainage of choledochal cysts with a long Roux-en-Y loop seems advisable.
