Incorrect Description in Table

JAMA Surg. 2016;151(6):588. doi:10.1001/jamasurg.2016.1440

In the Original Investigation entitled “Use of National Burden to Define Operative Emergency General Surgery” published online April 27, 2016, and also in this issue of JAMA Surgery,1 a correction has been made to Table 2. The description of burden rank 8, which read, “Incision of muscle, tendon, fascia, and bursa of hand,” was replaced with “Excision or destruction of lesion or tissue of skin and subcutaneous tissue.” This article was corrected online and in print.
