Materials published in print or online in AMA Publications are owned and copyrighted by the AMA and may not be reproduced in any form without written permission from the publisher.  These publications include, but are not limited to, The JAMA Network journals, Disaster Medicine & Public Health Preparedness, and American Medical News.


Q: What are the rules around reprints and their usage requirements?
A: Full-text reprints and e-prints must follow the AMA Journals Reprints Standards (PDF).

Q: Is there a minimum quantity required for reprints?
A: No minimum purchase is necessary, you may buy reprints or e-prints in any quantity to meet your needs.

Q: Can I buy a reprint of an Online First (published ahead of print) article?  If so, how?
A: Early Release Article Reprints may be purchased on the day of online publication

Q: Does multimedia require a separate reprint request?
A: Multimedia and online-only material are available as part of your reprint and e-print purchase.  Requests or for more information, contact reprints@jamanetwork.org

Q: Are there translation options for reprint orders?
A: Yes, reprints and e-prints may be translated to the language of your choice.  Many articles are already available in multiple languages.  Contact reprints@jamanetwork.org to inquire about availability.

Q: How fast does a reprint order take to complete?
A: Standard turnaround for a non-rush order is 10-12 business days from proof approval.

Q: How do I obtain individual permissions on content within The JAMA Network?
A: Requests for reuse/republication of any article content (tables/figures/selected text) can be requested via RightsLink, simply click on the Permissions link next to the selected article.

Q: How do I obtain a complete issue of a journal within the JAMA Network?
