Abstract

PROGRAM FOR FIRST INTERNATIONAL MENTAL HYGIENE CONGRESS  The First International Congress on Mental Hygiene will be held in Washington, D. C., Hotel Willard, May 5-10, 1930. President Hoover has accepted the honorary presidency of this congress, and delegates are expected from more than thirty countries. Topics of the program are now ready for publication, and are contained in the form of a Preliminary Announcement, which can be obtained from John R. Shillady, Administrative Secretary of the Congress, 370 Seventh Avenue, New York.Following are some of the general topics: 1. Magnitude of the mental hygiene problem as a health problem. 2. Organization of community facilities for prevention, care and treatment. 3. Organization of the mental hospital and its rôle in community life. 4.
