Abstract

So far as the reviewer knows this is the best small book on endocrine disorders in the English language. It takes up in order the diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, the suprarenals, gonads, pineal gland, status thymolymphaticus and pluriglandular insufficiency. The subject is well presented in an orderly manner. The clinical picture is adequate, and suggestions are made for treatment. Not too many claims are made for the effects of hormone therapy. It is altogether a safe and sane book and is welcome.
