This is an excellent presentation of the problem of mental deficiency written for the layman, social worker and general practitioner. The subject is dealt with chiefly from the sociologic point of view and emphasizes the responsibility of the public and the increasing cost of the care of such patients. While the book is written from the British standpoint, it is equally pertinent to conditions in this country.
