Abstract

CHILD NEUROLOGY RESEARCH  With a grant from the Friedsam Foundation a special committee or council will be formed "to stimulate Research in Child Neurology and allied fields, so that physicians and other scientists may contribute to the thorough investigation of the many problems bearing upon the care and cure of those afflicted with any of the nervous and mental disorders from birth through adolescence." This research work is to be encouraged by stipends, scholarships and other means and is not to be limited to any special groups or institutions. It is to be nation-wide in scope. The committee is to be organized by Dr. Bernard Sachs, the director. According to present plans it will consist of two neurologists, in addition to the director, two pediatricians, one orthopedist and two laymen.
