Abstract

COMMITTEE ON WAR PSYCHIATRY OF THE AMERICAN PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION  The Committee on War Psychiatry of the American Psychiatric Association has published a study dealing with the steps which have been taken for the maintenance and improvement of civilian mental health in various types of communities throughout the country. The procedures used in state-wide areas, large cities and metropolitan districts and in small towns and rural areas have been assembled, and their fundamental principles have been described.This publication may be obtained without cost on application. More detailed information on particular aspects of civilian mental health may be secured on request. Such material for rural areas may be obtained from Dr. T. Raphael, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich.; for state-wide areas from Dr. F. H. Sleeper, 100 Nashua Street, Boston, and for large cities and metropolitan areas from Dr. D. Ewen Cameron, Albany Hospital, Albany, N. Y.
