NEW QUARTERLY  Psychological Book Previews is a new quarterly, starting publication in January 1951. It is intended to help psychologists keep up to date on new books in psychology and selected new books in anthropology, education, neurology, psychiatry, sociology and statistics. Each issue will have 40 to 50 descriptive summaries of books written by the authors before their books appear. A good description and a sample of the author's writing should be of help to prospective purchasers. For those interested in the opinion of reviewers, each issue will also contain a bibliography of over 300 critical book reviews. This journal will be edited by John W. French. The subscription price is $4.50 a year. Communications may be addressed to 31 Markham Road, Princeton, N. J.

FIRST WORLD PSYCHIATRIC CONGRESS  The International Congress of Psychiatry was held in Paris Sept. 18 to 27, 1950. Nearly 2,000 members, from 46 countries, attended.
