New York State Psychiatric Institute Exhibit.—
The New York State Psychiatric Institute, 722 W. 168th St., New York, will exhibit a portion of the material held in the Freud Memorial Room of its Library. This exhibition will open on Jan. 16, 1956, and continue through Feb. 10, 1956. This is the first of such exhibitions which will be held by various institutions during 1956, the centenary of the birth of Sigmund Freud.The exhibition will include copies of the early neurological publications of Freud, copies of the first publications in the field of psychoanalysis, several holograph manuscripts by Freud, several of Freud's books with their translations into 14 different languages, books inscribed by Freud and books inscribed to Freud, letters written by Freud, documents signed by Freud which relate to the Viennese Psychoanalytic Society, and a collection of photographs of Freud.
