To the Editor: It is with sadness and disappointment
that I read the Clinical Crossroads Update regarding the status of the 26-year-old
woman seeking an abortion 1 year later.1
It is sad that this patient has such unhealthy behavior that she has
already experienced 2 unwanted and unplanned pregnancies. It is sad that she
has been in unhealthy sexual relationships, has had irregularity in medical
care and inconsistency in taking oral contraceptives, and possibly has been
exposed to sexually transmitted diseases.
