To the Editor: Randomized clinical trials are the gold standard for assessing new therapeutic strategies in heart failure, but little is known about the perspectives of the patients participating in these trials.1-3 We sought to examine patients' motivation for participating in clinical trials, their comprehension of the trial's purpose, their perceived clinical benefit, and their interest in participating in future clinical trials.
