To the Editor: Dr Schneider and colleagues1 found that substantial racial disparities persist in the quality of care delivered to patients in Medicare managed care. These findings also corroborate an earlier article by the same group of researchers showing lower rates of influenza vaccination among the same population.2 Thus, it remains important to identify models of health systems or organizations that can effectively contribute to reducing these disparities.3
