To the Editor.—Dr Hylek et al1 prudently recommended, when appropriate, more frequent prothrombin time monitoring to ensure avoidance of excess anticoagulation and hemorrhagic complications, and, in the accompanying Editorial, Dr Bell2 advises "that physicians be knowledgeable about all drug-drug interactions and other factors that affect anticoagulation."
