Congress of Medicine
The fourth National Congress of Medicine was held, October 3-11, at Buenos Aires, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. J. Arce aided by Drs. Arrillaga, Fonso Gandolfo, Ivanisevich and Bosco, as secretaries. The one topic on the program was "Treatment of Acute Pyogenic Infections." Dr. I. Imaz presented a paper covering the problem as a whole. Dr. P. Mirizzi discussed surgery in acute pyogenic infections and Dr. C. Muniagurria spoke on the treatment of the same condition in childhood. The congress was attended by delegates from several countries, as follows: Drs. E. Wollman, Santiago, Chile; Gallart Monés, Barcelona, Spain; Keyser, Berlin, Germany; A. Navarro, Montevideo, Uruguay, and Tissi Netto, São Paulo, Brazil. The attendants visited hospitals, in which clinics were given. The attendance of physicians and the number of papers presented were not as great as in previous congresses. Dr. Molineli presented before the section of infectious
