This is a pocket size quiz compend type of book which attempts to cover the anatomy, physiology, diseases, refraction and surgery of the eye, without an attempt to be complete in any. Unusual diseases "are intentionally omitted." There are numerous illustrations and several tables. A chapter on eye conditions in school children is based on 22,000 examinations in London. The diseases and refractive errors of this group are discussed. One chapter deals with the visual requirements for the various governmental and municipal services and industries in Great Britain. The book is concise and is of value when preparing for examinations or reviewing the subject but is too brief to serve as a textbook.
