Abstract

Physicians Wanted in the CCC  A recent decision of the director of the CCC and the War Department permits the employment of physicians who are not medical reserve officers in this service. The principal duties at camps consist of the medical care of the enrollees and the practice of preventive medicine. To be eligible, the physician must be legally qualified to practice medicine and physically able to perform the duties involved. No quarters are provided for families and the physician will be required to pay for his own food at camps. Temporary quarters will be provided for a nominal fee. Those selected will be required to pay their own traveling expenses to the nearest district headquarters, where they will be put on temporary duty for instruction before being sent to camps.
