This book is unusual in that each page is a complete presentation, by means of diagrams and legends, of some topic in physiology. Any given page could be enlarged into a chart suitable for hanging in classroom or office. The diagrams are necessarily often schematic but deserve praise for their clarity; the accompanying text is a model of terseness. Teachers who have been frustrated by the evasiveness with which some authors approach the subjects of excretion and reproduction will find this book most helpful. It is recommended highly not only to teachers of high school and college courses but also to physicians for use in instructing patients.
