The material immediately following refers to continuing education courses for physicians scheduled for the year Sept 1, 1964, through Aug 31, 1965. Detailed course questionnaires are completed in the spring by the institutions and organizations sponsoring courses scheduled for the year ahead in order that a published compilation* of them may be of assistance to physicians seeking to continue their education in this manner. Hence, the information to be presented below is for the year 1964-1965 rather than the 1963-1964 year on which medical school and medical student statistics are compiled and presented elsewhere in the Annual Report. Accordingly, the analysis relates to courses scheduled for the current year, which may not be the same thing as courses actually presented.
