Washington, DC—It took two small brainstem strokes to motivate vascular surgeon James Goodreau, MD, of Allentown, Pa, to lose 60 excess pounds and start swimming regularly. His experience prompted him to seek new ways to drive home to patients the importance of curbing cardiovascular risk factors. One tool he uses is the InVision Guide to a Healthy Heart, an interactive Web site featuring novel anatomical artwork that shows how vascular disease damages blood vessels (http://www.invisionguide.com/heart/index.html).
