In Reply The leading predictor of malpractice claims in the United States is not the amount of clinical data available to the patient, it is the degree of patient satisfaction. In a single-institution survey study by Raghavendra and Rex,1 most patients appreciated having a video record of their medical procedure and are even willing to pay for it, suggesting that video records may increase patient satisfaction. Thus, video recording has the potential to improve hospital scores on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems and even reduce malpractice claims.
