To the Editor: The Editorial on integrity in medical science by Drs DeAngelis and Fontanarosa1 focused on US authorship practices, primarily industry-funded research articles, but its ideas merit broader consideration. Lack of integrity probably exists in all countries and all research types, and scientists should be more aware of good authorship practice. However, few data about this exist.
