Health Information Management Across the Continuum serves physicians, medical directors, and health information management professionals responsible for overseeing the health information management function in nonacute care units of today's health and hospital systems.
A subscription consists of two components: a newsletter and a manual of loose-leaf chapters. The monthly newsletter contains interpretations of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, physician requirements of the National Committee for Quality Assurance, and practical ideas on management of health information without duplication across the enterprise. Approximately every other month the publisher sends subscribers a detailed chapter of accrediting and regulator specifications for individual units of an integrated delivery system to be added to the loose-leaf manual. Chapters accumulate for each of the nonacute service units on the publisher's list. A few of the units on this list of chapters includes mammography services, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, and telemedicine. The publisher plans to include ongoing updates and additions for this loose-leaf manual.
